Taryn Brumfitt is asking women around the world to embrace their bodies with her kickstarter campaign, which is raising money for a feature-length documentary that will unite women and girls across the globe to embrace their bodies.
Taryn, an Australian mom of three and founder of Body Image Movement made headlines a year ago when she posted before and after pictures of her body, and many people wondered how she could possibly love her body post-baby. “It got me thinking… the world has been brainwashed…Women and girls are constantly held back and lead to believe they’re not as good as they should be. Why? Because every day we feel we’re being judged on our appearance and how far away it is from an unachievable ideal,” Taryn says.
People around the world are pitching in through Taryn’s kickster campaign, and are proudly sharing their support on social media with #iHaveEmbraced. Notable celebrities who have donated to the campaign include Ashton Kutcher, Rosie O’Donnell, Zooey Deschanel, Amanda deCadenet and Ricki Lake.
