Global Green USA is dedicated to helping the people, places and planet in need through catalytic projects, transformative policy, and cutting-edge research. From affordable green housing, schools, neighborhoods and cities as well as rebuilding communities feeling the impact of climate change (like New Orleans, New York, and New Jersey), Global Green has made a positive impact on the planet and lives of its inhabitants.
Raintees shares Global Green USA’s dreams for a better future by fostering a global value shift towards sustainability. As a supporter of Global Green’s Pre-Oscar/20th anniversary celebration, Raintees has donated 1000 trees which were planted in Haiti and Ethiopia in honor of Global Green. Through our planting programs we work directly with local villages and give thousands of people around the world the means to a sustainable income and a better life while the forests they build strengthen local economies and allow communities to grow their own food. The results are life changing!
Global Green USA Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Global Green USA marked it’s 20th anniversary in style as Billy Zane, Malin Akerman, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Maggie Grace and Jane Seymour attended their 11th Annual Pre-Oscar® Party. Award winning musician, and notable environmentalist Moby headlined the celebration, with electronic music sensation The Crystal Method DJ’ing at the star-studded Oscar Week celebration. Other notable celebrities in attendance included Alison Sudol, Ed Begley Jr., Eliza Coupe, Frances Fisher, James Dumont, Joan Rivers, Kellan Lutz, Luke Perry, Malin Akerman, Matt Walsh, Michelle Branch, Mike Manning, Rob Steinberg, Vanessa Marano and more.
The zero-waste event brought together Hollywood’s top activists and eco-conscious celebrities and raised funds and awareness for Global Green USA’s ongoing projects and initiatives. Guests enjoyed Akasha Restaurant’s plant-based dinner, featuring black rice pilaf with spring peas and greens, roasted king oyster mushrooms and a tempting chocolate walnut cashew cake sundae. The eco-friendly dinner was followed by a high-end auction lead by Christie’s auctioneer, Mariana Jospeph. Top-selling items included a trip to Turtle Island Resort Fiji, a J. Lohr Paso Robles getaway, an ultimate “Moby Experience” and more.
The team at Raintees would like to congratulate Global Green USA on 20 critical years of environmental change.
